Black Scorpion Karate CIC Achieves Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! Black Scorpion Karate CIC has been awarded the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts “mark”, a huge milestone that shows just how seriously we take the safety and well-being of everyone in our club.

This recognition highlights our commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all our students. Whether you’re training at our Wigan dojo in Pemberton Business Centre or attending classes in Rainhill, Park Farm, or Chain Lane Community Centre, you can trust that safeguarding is at the heart of what we do.

What does this mean for you?
Parents can feel confident knowing their children are in safe hands with us. Sensei Paul Selby, our Chief Instructor, puts it best:
“Achieving the Safeguarding Code mark reflects our dedication to creating a safe space for all students. As a 4th Dan Black Belt and an operational police officer, I bring professional safeguarding knowledge to ensure every child who trains with us feels supported and secure.”

Our dedication to safeguarding is just one of the reasons why we were named Wigan’s Believe Sports Club of the Year 2024. With classes for all ages (from 4+), a welcoming family atmosphere, and an inclusive ethos that supports students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Black Scorpion Karate CIC is more than just a karate club—it’s a community.
