Welcome to Black Scorpion Karate Club

Black Scorpion Karate Club is a family club with real family values.

We practice Shotokan Karate, teaching adults and children in a safe and welcoming environment at our classes in Rainhill, St-Helens, Wigan and Warrington.

Regular newsletters keep parents informed of all upcoming events and exciting News from Black Scorpion Karate.

We are members of Cobra Martial Arts Association (CMAA) and we also work closely with Sensei Tracey Drain and her club Cobra Karate Manchester.

We are fortunate enough to be members of St-Helens District sports council, allowing us the privilege of working with local schools and communities.

Some of the benefits of doing karate are:

  • Increase in self-confidence
  • Keep fit
  • Improve co-ordination
  • Improve self-discipline
  • lose weight
  • Tone up
  • learning to work with others
  • Make new friends
  • Increase flexibility
  • Self Defence

Within our structured lessons, we teach all the elements of karate including; strikes, blocks, kicks, Kumite (sparring), stances, movement and kata. We focus on these elements equally, each part is as important as the next, and they all build together to create the full picture of karate. You can use our website to keep up to date with our latest news, find your local class, and check out our upcoming events.  We also have an online shop where you can purchase all your karate essentials.  If you need to get in touch please contact us.

We are an equal opportunities club and strive to accommodate everybody. Our instructors are DBS cleared (previously known as CRB), fully insured, first aid trained and have up to date child protection and safeguarding certificates.
