On December 15th, just before we broke up for the Christmas holidays, we witnessed a momentous day for Black Scorpion Karate CIC as six of our dedicated students reached incredible milestones in their karate journeys. This grading was a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to their training.
A huge congratulations to:
- Jack, who achieved his Shodan (Black Belt) ππ₯
- Bobbie, Connor, Seth, and Harrison, who all advanced to 1st Kyu (Brown Belt)
- Isaac, who achieved 2nd Kyu (Brown Belt)
Each of these students performed brilliantly on the day, showcasing the skills, discipline, and determination that they’ve developed over the years. Their journeys have been long and inspiring, with several of them starting as white belts and growing with the club over many years. Watching them reach these advanced stages is a proud moment for the entire BSK family.
For Jack, this day was particularly special as he followed in the footsteps of his sister, Sensei Kira, who was not only present but also sat on the grading panel. Seeing Jack reach Shodan with Kira cheering him on was a poignant reminder of the family ethos that runs through Black Scorpion Karate. Weβre all incredibly proud of Jack and the path heβs walked to achieve this milestone.
The sense of camaraderie, support, and shared pride during the grading was a perfect reflection of what makes Black Scorpion Karate CIC so special. We are more than just a karate clubβwe are a family, lifting each other up and celebrating each other’s successes.
Well done to everyone who gradedβyouβve all earned your stripes (and belts)! πͺπ₯ We canβt wait to see what you achieve next as you continue your karate journey.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we head into 2025! π
