We’re proud to be a trusted provider for Wigan Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme — offering fun-filled, supportive camps during the school holidays for eligible children and young people.

🌟 What is HAF?

The HAF programme is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by Wigan Council to support children and families during school holidays.

Eligible children receive:

  • ✅ Free activity-based childcare
  • ✅ A healthy, balanced meal each day
  • ✅ A safe, fun and inclusive environment

🥋 Our Holiday Camps Include:

At Black Scorpion Karate CIC, our camps are a little different — and a lot of fun! Each day includes:

  • 🥋 Karate & movement-based activities
  • 🎨 Arts, crafts & creative time
  • 🧩 Games, challenges, and sensory stations
  • 🍎 A nutritious hot meal and snacks
  • 🧡 A supported, small-group environment (ideal for SEND & neurodivergent young people)

💬 Who Can Join?

  • ✔ HAF-funded spaces are available for eligible families (you’ll receive a code via email from Wigan Council)
  • ✔ Paid spaces are available to anyone aged 5–12
  • ✔ You do not need to be a karate student to attend
  • ✔ All activities are adapted to meet the needs of the group
  • ✔ We welcome children with SEND — let us know how we can best support your child!

  • Easter holidays
  • Summer holidays
  • Winter break

📅 Booking a Place

  • 🎟️ Paid places: Book directly via our Booking System
  • 🟢 Free HAF spaces: Must be booked using the link provided by Wigan Council in your HAF email (not publicly listed)
