🥋 Squad Spotlight: A Weekend of Hard Work and Success! 🥋

This weekend was all about our amazing Black Scorpion Karate CIC squad, and what a weekend it was! 💥

On Saturday, the squad came together for their monthly extended training session, and as usual, everyone gave it their all! A huge shoutout to the team for their hard work and effort! 🙌 But it wasn’t all work and no play—thanks to a cheeky video sent in by one of the parents, it seems some of the students were still stuck in holiday mode and struggling to leave behind the party dances from their summer trips! 😂🕺

Then, on Sunday, some of our squad headed down to Birmingham for the GB Open Championship at the University of Birmingham. It was a tough competition, but the whole team showed fantastic skill and determination. Whether they came home with a medal or not, we are incredibly proud of every single one of them for giving their all on the mats. 💪

🏅 Results:

  • Alfie: 🥈 Silver in Adapted Kata
  • Darcey: 🥇 Gold in Juruken
  • Holly: 🥉 Bronze in Ippon
  • Darcey: 🥈 Silver in Team Rotation
  • Millie: 🥉 Bronze in Team Rotation

A special shoutout to Millie, Darcey, Lucy, Holly, Isabelle, and Alfie for representing the club with pride and effort. Remember, it’s not just about the medals but the journey; we are proud of everyone who competed! 🌟

Huge thanks to Sensei Sally, our fantastic Squad Development Lead, for guiding the team, and a big thank you to the parents for helping keep everything running smoothly and ensuring everyone was on the right mat at the right time! 🙏

We’re proud of the squad’s dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. Let’s keep that momentum going into the next training session and competition!
