What we offer

Karate for All

Traditional martial arts in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.

We offer inclusive Shotokan Karate classes for children (age 4+), teens, and adults — no experience needed. Families can train together with discounted rates, and beginners get their first two weeks free!

Whether you’re here to build confidence, get active, or join our international tournament team — there’s a place for you.

SEND & Short Breaks

Fully funded activities and support for children and young people with SEND.

We are a proud Wigan Council Short Breaks Provider, offering:

  • Monthly Scorpion Circle social groups (non-karate)

  • Subsidised 1-to-1 karate sessions

  • In-class support, with parent/carer or PA options

All designed with flexibility, inclusion, and your child’s needs in mind.

As a registered HAF provider and CIC, we run exciting, accessible activities for local children and families. Join us for:

  • Free Holiday Camps

  • Monthly Pokémon Club

  • Inclusive Glowstick Discos

  • School and group tasters (funded!)

We run karate classes, funded sessions, and community activities across Rainhill, St Helens, and Wigan — every day of the week.

Whether you’re a beginner trying your first class, a family training together, or a young person accessing support through Short Breaks or HAF, you can now find everything in one place.

📢 HAF Holiday Camps
Families eligible for free HAF places should book using the Wigan Council voucher email — these are not available through our direct booking site.

📞 For Short Breaks 1-to-1 or in-class support, sessions must be pre-arranged.

📝 Please note: Our Warrington classes (inside Athelis Gym) are for Athelis members only and are booked directly through the gym — not via our website.
